Dominican Center

The Dominican Center for Religious Development is a ministry of the Dominican Sisters of Adrian, Michigan.  It began on September 01, 1980 under the tutelage of Sister Charlotte Hoefer, OP and the Congregation Leadership of Sister Carol Johannes, OP.

This Center offers opportunities for spiritual deepening and growth,  spiritual breadth through study, sharing communal wisdom, reading the signs of the times and addressing the heresies of today.  The Center seeks Truth (Dominican motto) and preaches the Word of God.

Mission of the Center:

In the Dominican tradition, we strive to nurture the contemplative life by assisting people of every faith to relate to God. We commit ourselves to educating and resourcing spiritual directors through an Internship in Spiritual Direction and other formation experiences. We are also committed to supporting adult faith development through working with churches, religious congregations and individuals.

Office Location for the Center:

The Office for Dominican Center for Religious Development is located on the grounds of Mercy Center. Mercy Center is owned and operated by the Sisters of Mercy. The Dominican Center uses the facility for the seminars,  meetings, and other offerings.
