This privately directed retreat will be held at the spacious and picturesque Capuchin Retreat Center northwest of the Detroit Metro Area.
  Individual retreat directors will be available for daily companionship in your walk with God.
The cost of $600.00 covers room and board and retreat fees.

Carol Johannes , OP, an Adrian Dominican Sister, joined the DCRD staff in 1987 and had been involved in the ministry of spiritual direction and as faculty and supervisor in the Internship Program at the Dominican Center for Religious Development until 2005.  She continues to minister as a spiritual director and retreat director at the DCRD and also is involved in adult faith formation experiences at the Center and in several parishes in the area.

She holds an MA in English from the University of Notre Dame, Master of Divinity and Master of Theology in Spiritual Direction from Weston School of Theology in Cambridge, MA. While at Weston, she completed the Practicum in Spiritual Direction at the Center for Religious Development, Cambridge, MA.

 

Charlotte Hoefer , OP, an Adrian Dominican Sister, founded the Dominican Center for Religious Development (DCRD) in 1980. She was the Director of the DCRD for 23 years and during that time was engaged in teaching and supervising in the Internship in Spiritual Direction Program.
     Sister Charlotte has a BA in Latin from Siena Heights University, Adrian, MI and a MA in Latin from The Catholic University of America, Washington, DC. She also holds an MA in Spiritual Direction and an MDiv in Spirituality fromWeston Jesuit School of Theology, Cambridge, MA. While at Weston she completed the Practicum in Spiritual Direction at the Center for Religious Development, Cambridge, MA. She has attended numerous post-graduate seminars in Spiritual Direction.

 

Teresa Disch, OP, is an Adrian Dominican Sister who has been a retreat and spiritual director for 25 years. She has experience in teaching, adult leadership development, parish ministry, deacon formation and pastoral counseling. Teresa has served the Catholic faith communities of the dioceses of Detroit, Lansing, Chicago and Pueblo, Colorado.
Sister Teresa has a BA in Latin from Siena Heights University, Adrian, MI. She also holds several other degrees: MA in Theology, St. John’s University, Collegeville, MN; MDiv, Loyola University, Chicago, IL; MSW, Wayne State University, Detroit, MI.

 

 

Rev. Vic Clore, PhD, Rev. Clore has been a parish priest in Detroit since 1966, always serving in racially integrating city parishes. His pastoral specialty is blending Sacred Scripture and Human Psychology. Rev. Clore has a PhD in Developmental Psychology, STL in Systematic Theology; he the Pastor, Christ the King Parish, Northwest Detroit; Emeritus Professor at UD Mercy and Sacred Heart Major Seminary.

 

 

 

Faith Offman is a 2002 Graduate of the DCRD Internship Program in Spiritual Direction and joined the DCRD staff in 2009 involved in the ministry of spiritual direction and continues as faculty and supervisor in the current Internship Program.  She ministers at St. Paul of the Cross Passionist Retreat Center as Associate Director of Ministry where she is part of the Retreat Team and leads Days of Reflection, provides Spiritual Direction and leads directed retreats.

She holds an Associate of Arts in Ministry from Sacred Heart Major Seminary; a BA from Sienna Heights University and a Masters of Divinity from SS Cyril and Methodius Seminary.Faith is married to Steve, they have two children and five grandchildren.
