Garden of Forgiveness and Film Series

The staffs of the Dominican Center for Religious Development and St. Paul of the Cross Retreat Center are collaborating on creating a Garden of Forgiveness and a Film Series with the theme of forgiveness. We invite you to join us for the opening film of the series and blessing of the Garden of Forgiveness on September 21, 2008 from 2:00 -5:00 p.m. at St. Paul of the Cross Retreat Center, 23333 Schoolcraft, Detroit, MI 48223. Please call 313-387-9574 or 313-535-9563 to register. Refreshments will be served after the Blessing of the Garden.

Opening film: The Power of Forgiveness
To forgive someone can be simple. But this simple act can have powerful consequences ñ and may lead to personal and spiritual transformation. From Northern Ireland to Ground Zero to the Amish countryside, featuring Elie Wiesel, Buddhist master Thich Nhat Hanh, authors Thomas Moore, Marianne Williamson, the Reverend James Forbes and others, The Power of Forgiveness explores this important work and reveals how forgiveness can transform our lives.
