A Retreat for Blood Sisters, "Like Sisters" and Soul Sisters

Dates: May 2 - 4, 2008
Participants are invited to spend the weekend remembering, reminiscing, and reconnecting with a sister, a female relative or a friend. Throughout the weekend, you will be invited to revisit your past, become current with your present, and imagine your future. The weekend will include prayer, alone and together times, activities and sharing.

The poet, Emily Dickenson, writes "...My sister, my friend, is my estate. My sister, my friend will be the treasure I accrue in life..." Come and celebrate with us the sacrament of Sisterhood, Friendship.
Presenters: Gail Bacigal has been a Spiritual Director at St. Blase Parish for the past 20 years. She has worked on numerous directed retreats with the staff of the DCRD and also led many preached retreats. Gail specializes in working with groups of women and designed and instituted the program "Circles of Women" where women minister to women. She has been married for 47 years and has three adult children and nine grandchildren.

Nancy Mason Bordley, MA, an Adrian Dominican Associate, has worked in Religious Education, Adult Formation, Worship and Music for over 25 years. She is a spiritual director, facilitates retreats and is founder and owner of Parish Services, a company which offers contracted services to parishes in the Detroit Archdiocese. Currently, Nancy is a full time Pastoral Associate at St. John Fisher Chapel University Parish, in Auburn Hills, MI.

Ann Petrini Lindamood, an Adrian Dominican Associate, ministers as a spiritual director, retreat director, women's prayer group leader and is very active in Beatitudes Pax Christi group at her parish, St. Mary Magdalen's, Brighton, MI. Ann, the oldest of four sisters, grew up in an Irish-Italian family in western Pennsylvania. She retired from a career in psychiatric/mental health nursing and currently resides with her husband of 45 years. She is the mother of four daughters and grandmother to Riley and Zachary.
