OPPORTUNITIES in SPIRITUALITY

Holy Women of History
with Anneliese Sinnott,OP

How much do you know about the holy women in history?  Much of the history of memorable women has been written by men.  Would the record read differently if other women were the authors?  These sessions will help us explore some of the women from the world community, past and present, who will inspire us by their holiness.

Deepening our understanding through a small group discussion. Sharing prayer, insights, and faith with one another.

Three two-hour gatherings will explore spirituality and our Christian faith as articulated by Elizabeth A. Johnson in her book: Abounding in Kindness, Writings for the People of God.

Sessions will be located at the Mercy Sisters Administration Building and led by Patricia Benson, OP

Pat is a Dominican Sister, a former Theology professor and science teacher who deeply desires that God and faith be alive and active in people of the twenty-first century.

The Johnson book is divided into four parts; please  read Part One before the first meeting.  The timeline to complete the book will be decided by Pat and the participants.
