Three-part Seminar Series by Anneliese Sinnott, OP
Anneliese is a Dominican Sister and a Theologian
Anneliese recently retired from the position of professor of systematic theology at Ecumenical Theological Seminary in Detroit.
She is Chair of the Dominican Center: Spirituality for Mission Board.
Program: All of the recent studies on “church” in the United States indicate that church attendance in almost all Christian denominations has decreased dramatically in the last quarter century. Are we part of the “formers” or part of those “still in the fold?”
Why not spend some time revisiting “Church”? We will glance at a bit of history and then look at the Church “we leave behind” and the Church “we are moving into.” Finally we will reflect together on what it means to be a Christian in today’s world and whether that has anything to do with Church.
